Bayer Leverkusen faced a bitter disappointment at Allianz Arena, where they were defeated 0-3 by an almost perfect Bayern Munich this year.
Although coach Xabi Alonso deliberately set up a defensive lineup with a 4-5-1 formation, the "Pharmacy" team was completely powerless against the overwhelming attacking strength of the "Bavarian Giants."
In the first half alone, Bayern scored three goals, including an own goal, effectively ending the match within 45 minutes. Notably, Bayern’s starting lineup was a rotated version as coach Thomas Tuchel rested some key players to prepare for European competition. Nonetheless, the quality gap was still huge.

After the match, Leverkusen midfielder Aleix García admitted a harsh truth: “Bayern is currently the strongest team in Europe,” he told Sky Germany.
This statement is well-founded. Since the start of the season, the "Bavarian Giants" have officially become the first team in history to win 15 consecutive matches from the beginning of the season, a milestone never before seen in European football history.

Under Tuchel’s guidance, the "Bavarian Giants" are not only dangerous in pressing and transition phases but also demonstrate incredible squad depth, with any player coming on able to make a difference.
The victory over Leverkusen also affirmed Bayern’s ambition for the 2025/26 season: reclaiming the Bundesliga crown and making a deep run in the Champions League. They will have the chance to test their true strength midweek against reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League group stage.

If they continue their current dominant form, it’s fair to say Bayern Munich is the top candidate for all major European honors this season.
