Khatoco Khánh Hòa Club continued their remarkable run by securing their fifth win after six rounds.
Khatoco Khánh Hòa maintained their winning momentum by defeating Xuân Thiện Phú Thọ 2-1 on their opponent’s home turf. This victory by the coastal city team from Nha Trang puts pressure on other contenders playing today, November 2nd.
In the previous round, the đất Tổ team celebrated their first win by overcoming another newcomer, Đại học Văn Hiến, temporarily moving them out of the bottom ranks. This timely morale boost was crucial for coach Lê Quốc Vượng’s squad, especially as they faced a stronger opponent like Khánh Hòa. However, even with home advantage, Xuân Thiện Phú Thọ couldn’t surprise the league leaders.
Xuân Thiện Phú Thọ was determined to win on their home ground. At the 16th minute, foreign player Yago Ramos scored the opening goal for coach Quốc Vượng’s team. Yet, in adversity, Khatoco Khánh Hòa fought back and turned the game around with two goals in the last five minutes of the second half by Khắc Khiêm (79th minute) and Công Tiến (84th minute), securing a 2-1 victory.
This marked the fourth straight win for coach Trần Trọng Bình’s team and their fifth victory in six rounds. This winning streak allowed Khatoco Khánh Hòa to claim the top spot and demonstrate increasing dominance each round amid fierce competition from numerous contenders.
Khatoco Khánh Hòa’s win over Xuân Thiện Phú Thọ puts additional pressure on clubs like Trường Tươi Đồng Nai, Bắc Ninh, Quảng Ninh, etc., who must win their matches on the afternoon of November 2nd. Only a victory will keep these teams close to the coastal side and prevent them from falling too far behind in the standings. A slip now could easily trigger a downward spiral in the rankings…
In the other match on the afternoon of November 1st, PVF-CAND Youth Club drew 1-1 with Đồng Tháp Club. The sen hồng region team still hasn’t secured a win this season (3 draws, 3 losses), placing them near the bottom of the table.
