'Arsenal is flawless, with no weaknesses'

Legend Alan Shearer is convinced that Arsenal will break their 22-year Premier League title drought this season, following the team’s continued consolidation of the top spot with a smooth but remarkable victory against Burnley.

Recently, Arsenal secured a 2-0 win at Turf Moor thanks to goals from Viktor Gyokeres and Declan Rice, extending their lead to 7 points over the chasing pack. Their solid defense remains the foundation of their success as they matched the club’s record for consecutive clean sheets, while aiming to challenge Chelsea’s defensive record of conceding only 15 goals in the entire 2004/05 season. That was when The Blues were managed by Jose Mourinho.

Witnessing Arsenal’s current form, Alan Shearer, the Premier League’s all-time top scorer, praised Arsenal’s overall strength and stated he sees no weaknesses in Arteta’s squad at this moment: "I don’t see any weakness at all. That’s my view, and I truly believe it. They scored again from a set-piece, but this performance was much more than that. I really like how they use Calafiori and Timber in advanced positions to create numerical advantages and generate more chances from dead-ball situations.”

Not only Shearer, but many other experts also praise the "Gunners." Former Man City defender Nedum Onouha believes Arsenal now have enough composure to finish games — something they lacked in the past: “When I started commentating in 2021, I said Arsenal’s biggest weakness was their fragility, that they could be bullied. Back then, Arsenal stumbled and often couldn’t bounce back immediately. Now, if they need to fight, they fight. If they need to play skillfully, they can do that too. Three consecutive runner-up finishes — why shouldn’t they be expected to win this year? This season, Arsenal have a deep squad; when one player rests, another is ready to step in. That’s why they are considered top contenders.”

Meanwhile, former Man United defender Gary Neville also highly values Arsenal’s determination and class: "It’s very clear, Arsenal are a reliable team you can trust. This is Arsenal’s season. I’ve never been this sure before, even though the season is still long, but the Premier League title is genuinely within their grasp. This is the moment for them to reclaim the crown.”
