Real Madrid still has the 'assist king' for the showdown with Liverpool

Real Madrid got a major boost before traveling to Anfield when promising youngster Arda Guler was declared physically ready to participate, overcoming early worries about an ankle issue in the 4-0 win against Valencia yesterday.

According to the Spanish outlet AS, the Turkish midfielder was substituted in the first half after feeling discomfort in his right ankle. The incident happened during a non-contact movement when Guler lost balance while turning and fell to the pitch.

Although he quickly got back on his feet and contributed to the team’s second goal, coach Xabi Alonso decided to replace him to avoid any unnecessary risks.

Insiders from the club revealed that the substitution was purely precautionary and there was no serious injury. A Real Madrid representative even briefly stated: “Guler is fine, he is ready for the Liverpool match.”

In the second half, Dani Ceballos came on for Guler, while Eduardo Camavinga replaced Aurelien Tchouameni, who was taken off early due to a yellow card. These tactical changes were made with Real leading 3-0 after the first 45 minutes.
