Bournemouth’s striker Antoine Semenyo has addressed the potential of transferring to Arsenal in the near future.
The Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo is having a breakthrough season with Bournemouth, scoring 6 goals and providing 3 assists in 9 matches in the Premier League. This outstanding form has quickly attracted interest from several major English clubs.
According to multiple sources, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur are closely monitoring the 25-year-old striker’s situation. Semenyo is expected to become the focal point of a fierce transfer battle next summer.
Before the 2025/26 season began, Semenyo was rumored to leave Bournemouth, but he ultimately chose to extend his contract for 5 years with coach Andoni Iraola’s team in early July. Nevertheless, transfer rumors continue to spread ahead of the upcoming January window, despite a valuation reportedly set at €115 million.
When asked by Sky Sports about interest from top clubs, including Arsenal who are among the closest observers, Semenyo candidly stated: “I don’t overthink it. I try to live in the moment. News comes out all the time, I see it too, but I want to focus on playing. I’m enjoying football here. If I don’t score, everything fades away. I just try to give my best for the team, score goals, and let the future take care of itself.”
Semenyo also mentioned that several teammates like Ilya Zabarnyi, Dean Huijsen, Milos Kerkez, and Dango Ouattara left the club during the summer: “When they left, I knew the coach had his own plans. Last season we finished very well, and I believe that can continue, especially since the club brought in quality new players. I was a bit worried at first, but everything is going great. I’m happy I chose to stay and I’m enjoying every moment.”
From the perspective of big clubs, Arsenal considers Semenyo a top target in their plan to recruit a new left winger in 2026, while Liverpool sees him as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is linked with Saudi Arabian clubs. Additionally, Chelsea, Man United, and Tottenham have also included Semenyo on their list to strengthen their attacking line next season.
