Luis Enrique is confident that the home advantage and the fiery atmosphere at Parc des Princes will boost PSG’s strength in their Champions League clash against Bayern Munich, despite the opponent’s devastating form.

Paris Saint-Germain is preparing to enter a major showdown with Bayern Munich in the fourth group stage match of the Champions League, kicking off at 3:00 AM on November 5th. Both teams remain unbeaten after three rounds, sharing the top spot in the group. However, Bayern — led by coach Vincent Kompany — currently holds an impressive streak of 15 consecutive wins across all competitions, the longest such run by any team in Europe’s top five leagues.
Contrary to the opponent’s excellent form, PSG is facing a barrier known as the “Bayern nightmare”. In their last four Champions League meetings against the German side, the French champions have failed to score a single goal — their longest goalless streak against one opponent in European competition. Despite taking 40 shots and 14 on target, PSG has been powerless against Bayern’s ironclad defense.
Ahead of this highly anticipated encounter, coach Luis Enrique remains cautious but optimistic. “To determine the strongest team in Europe, we have to wait until the end of the season. Bayern is very strong, as always. But PSG is ready for this challenge,” Enrique said.
“Winning 15 consecutive matches is incredible, but at Parc des Princes, with the support of our fans, we believe we can stop them.”.
Enrique emphasized that this match is not the “battle to decide the European champion,” but it will serve as a measure of PSG’s growth since he rebuilt the squad. The Spanish coach also confirmed that his team maintains a philosophy of ball control, pressing, and quick attacking — the key factors behind PSG’s victories in all three opening Champions League games this season.
Good news for PSG fans is that Ousmane Dembele has fully recovered from his thigh injury. Enrique revealed: “He has trained fully for the past two weeks, participated in the last two matches, and regained his fitness. I don’t know how many minutes he will play, but Ousmane is definitely fit to take the field.”.
Dembele’s return gives PSG an additional option for breakthroughs on the right wing, alongside Goncalo Ramos up front. Under the blazing stands of Parc des Princes, fans hope this attacking trio will help PSG end their scoring drought against Bayern.
Given the opponent’s devastating form and unfavorable statistics, PSG understands they need more than confidence to rewrite history. However, if Luis Enrique’s team can fully exploit their home advantage, the upcoming night in Paris could mark a significant milestone ending Bayern’s 15-match winning streak.
