Messi guides his son towards joining Barcelona

Lionel Messi has expressed his desire for his eldest son Thiago to represent Barcelona one day.

Recently, Messi and his wife Antonela Roccuzzo celebrated Thiago’s 13th birthday with a party filled with "Barcelona" spirit, reaffirming the strong bond between their family and the Catalan club over the years.

Photos shared by Antonela on social media revealed a party venue decorated vividly in the iconic blue and red colors, featuring the prominent Barcelona logo alongside the familiar motto “Mes que un club” (More than a club). Thiago wore Barcelona’s 2024/25 third kit, with the name “Thiago 13” on the back, smiling brightly with his parents and receiving heartfelt wishes: “It’s wonderful to celebrate your birthday, Thiagui! We love you so much.”

The celebration was not only a birthday occasion but also a reminder of the two-decade-long connection between Messi and Barcelona. Although now settled in Miami, the Argentine superstar continues to show deep affection for the city and club that made his name.
