Khuất Văn Khang delivers positive news to the U23 Vietnam squad before their reunion, after netting an impressive goal versus PVF CAND in the 11th round of the 2025/26 V-League.
During the away match at PVF CAND in the 11th round of the 2025/26 V-League, midfielder Khuất Văn Khang continued his outstanding form by scoring a goal that put Thể Công Viettel temporarily in the lead.
Although the soldier team later conceded an equalizer to end 2-2 in stoppage time, the young star’s performance remained a remarkable highlight, especially as he is about to join the U23 Vietnam team preparing for the Panda Cup friendly tournament in China.
The goal by Văn Khang came in the 80th minute after a chaotic moment in front of PVF CAND’s goal. From a corner kick, the home team’s defense failed to clear decisively, allowing the 2003-born midfielder to unleash a very determined low shot just outside the 16.5-meter line.
The ball passed through several players before settling in goalkeeper Đỗ Sỹ Huy’s net, putting Thể Công Viettel ahead 2-1. Although the visitors couldn’t maintain the lead and Hoàng Vũ Samson equalized at 90+3 minutes, Văn Khang’s energetic display earned praise from experts.
The goal against PVF CAND not only boosted the midfielder’s confidence but also reassured the U23 Vietnam coaching staff about the form and touch of key players ahead of the international tournament, especially the upcoming SEA Games 33 at the end of this year.
It can be said that this goal was not only a highlight for Thể Công Viettel but also a spirited “greeting” from Khuất Văn Khang to the U23 Vietnam coaching team before the squad assembled.
According to the plan, the U23 Vietnam team will gather on November 9 under the leadership of acting head coach Đinh Hồng Vinh, before traveling to China to participate in the CFA Team China Panda Cup 2025, held from November 12 to 18 in Chengdu (Sichuan).
The tournament features four top U23 teams from Asia including China, South Korea, Uzbekistan, and Vietnam, serving as a valuable opportunity for young Vietnamese players to gain experience and prepare ahead of SEA Games 33 later this year.
