In the 2-1 victory of Sông Lam Nghệ An (SLNA) against Becamex TP.HCM during round 11 of the 2025/26 V-League, the standout player mentioned the most was Reon Moore.
Before the match, SLNA was under intense pressure after consecutive dropped points and sinking deep into the relegation zone. Their forwards were struggling to score, causing the team many difficulties in finding the net. At the moment when someone needed to step up and decide the game, Reon Moore delivered exactly that.
The Trinidad & Tobago striker opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a well-coordinated play alongside Văn Cường, then completed his brace in the 69th minute with a cool finish assisted by Olaha. These two goals not only secured SLNA's first win after several rounds but also ended Moore’s goal drought since round 2 in the 2-1 victory over Nam Định.
Moore’s timely brilliance restored faith and hope for coach Văn Sỹ Sơn’s squad, proving that the Nghệ An team can bounce back strongly if their attacking line regains its usual form.
Reon Dale Moore, born on September 22, 1996, in Sangre Grande, Trinidad & Tobago, is one of the most promising football talents from Trinidad & Tobago today. Before coming to Vietnam, he played for Defence Force in the TT Premier Football League, the top league in his homeland.
Not only shining at club level, Moore is also a national team player for Trinidad & Tobago, making an impression at the 2021 Gold Cup by scoring against Montserrat and Guatemala. He is highly regarded for his intelligent movement, explosive speed, and especially his versatile finishing ability with both feet.
Moore’s career is quite diverse, having played for several international clubs such as Municipal (Guatemala) and Pacific FC (Canada). After leaving Pacific FC, he returned to Defence Force before being recruited by SLNA to strengthen their attack for the 2025/26 season.
Although new to the V-League, Reon Moore is gradually proving his worth. His brace against Becamex TP.HCM not only helped SLNA win but also firmly affirmed that Vietnamese football can be a stage for him to shine.
If he maintains this form, Moore promises to be the key "explosive force" in SLNA’s battle to avoid relegation. With his international experience, killer instinct, and quick adaptation, the 29-year-old striker could become the decisive factor helping SLNA overcome this difficult period.
The victory over Becamex TP.HCM might be just one match, but for SLNA and their fans, it is a huge morale boost—and the one who brought it about is Reon Moore, the “foreign player single-handedly delivering the win” for the yellow-shirted team.
