Qingdao, a nationally known "football city", will usher in the first major event in history such as the national football team participating in the World Cup qualifiers.

The Football Association revealed in the announcement that there is a total ofBeijing, Changchun, Changsha, Changzhou, Chengdu, Haikou, Hangzhou, Lijiang, Qingdao, WenzhouA total of 10 cities bid to host the round of 18 at home against Indonesia in October, but 4 of them are not suitable to host the event due to reasons such as the submission of bid materials and venue security. In the end, the Football Association selected Qingdao City among the remaining six cities.

For the reasons for choosing Qingdao, the Football Association mainly considers the following reasons, first, the national football team will go to Adelaide to play Australia on October 10, and return to the home stadium to face Indonesia five days later, considering that Adelaide has a moderate temperature in October, the national team recommends choosing a city with relatively close climatic conditions.

Secondly, in order to meet the needs of fans to the greatest extent and create a warm home atmosphere, the Chinese Football Association will give priority to the stadium with a large number of spectators when determining the home stadium of the World Preliminaries, and Qingdao Youth Football Stadium, which has a professional football stadium that can accommodate 50,000 spectators, is indeed an ideal choice.

Third, Qingdao and Sydney and other cities also have direct international flights. This means that the national football team can train in Qingdao before the away game against Australia, then go to the away venue, and then return directly to Qingdao after the game.

Fourth, Chengyang District, Qingdao City, where the Youth Football Stadium is located, has rich football field resources and a strong atmosphere, and there are as many as 11 pieces of high-quality natural turf in and around the stadium, so it can meet the training needs of the national football team before the game.

According to the schedule, the match between the national football team and Indonesia will start on October 15, because the first three rounds of the national football team may suffer 3 consecutive defeats, the home match with the 6th team Indonesia will largely determine whether the national football team can be among the top 4 in the group, and the significance of this game can be called a "life and death battle".
