According to close sources, Messi entered Camp Nou Stadium without contacting or consulting anyone from the Barcelona club.
Images of Lionel Messi appearing at Camp Nou Stadium became the focal point yesterday (November 10). What intrigued many was how the Argentine star managed to enter Barcelona’s home ground without the club being aware. According to sources from Mundo Deportivo, El Pulga arrived at Camp Nou on Sunday night (October 9, Spanish time), just before midnight, without notifying or seeking permission from any club officials.
This was considered a surprising decision by Messi, as he was in Barcelona before heading to Alicante to join the Argentina national team. The 1987-born superstar wanted to visit Camp Nou to see again the stadium where he realized his dream of becoming a Barca legend. The Argentina team is expected to stay for a few days at a sports center in Alicante, before playing a friendly match against Angola in Africa.
Barcelona was quite surprised when photos of Messi at the stadium were posted on his personal Instagram. Nearly two hours after the post appeared, the club released an official statement saying Messi had contacted the security team of Limak company to get permission to enter. Limak then forwarded this request to Barcelona, which immediately approved it and affirmed that Messi is “always welcome” at Camp Nou, so his visit posed no issues whatsoever.
However, Messi’s side denied this information, claiming he did not request permission from the club through the security company, while Barcelona maintained that the security staff had informed them of his arrival.
According to someone close to Messi, the message he wants to convey is clear: he hopes to return to Barcelona one day to take on a role there, as this place will always be his home.
According to RAC1, Messi arrived at the stadium accompanied by Rodrigo De Paul, his teammate at Inter Miami, and Pepe Costa, a close assistant who has been with him for many years.
