Juric was relieved of his duties following a 3-0 defeat at home to Sassuolo. The 41-year-old Palladino is now charged with reversing the club’s poor form after a seven-game winless streak in the league, which has left them in 13th place after 11 matches this season.

Atalanta have managed only two league victories so far and sit 11 points behind leaders Inter Milan.

“Raffaele Palladino has agreed to a contract with the Nerazzurri until June 30, 2027,” Atalanta stated in an official release.

Palladino started his coaching career with Monza’s youth squad before being promoted to first-team manager in 2022, guiding the team to 11th and 12th place finishes during his two seasons before departing in June 2024.

The Italian coach moved to Fiorentina last season, leading them to a sixth-place finish and qualification for the Conference League.

Although Palladino secured Fiorentina’s best league finish since 2016, his approach didn’t resonate with supporters, and he left the club by mutual agreement at season’s end, just three weeks after extending his contract in May 2025.

Palladino’s debut match as Atalanta manager will be against Napoli, who are fourth in the table, on November 22nd following the international break.
