Manchester United's main right wing-back this season is Amad Diallo, a €40 million signing whose natural position is right winger. Playing as wing-back, he shows more attacking than defensive skills and conceded a goal against Nottingham Forest because of this. Therefore, many believe the Red Devils need to sign a specialized right wing-back. Now, an outstanding Premier League player in that position has openly expressed his desire, saying he dreams of playing for Manchester United.

Crystal Palace's Daniel Muñoz told Spain's AS newspaper that Manchester United is one of the elite clubs he dreams of joining.
“Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, or Manchester United— in my view, playing for any of these clubs would be a dream come true,” Muñoz said. “I am working hard every day to achieve this goal, hoping one day to attract the attention of these giants. For me, fulfilling this dream is my greatest wish.”
The Colombian Muñoz admitted that currently, no club has shown interest in him. “As far as I know, no team has expressed any interest in me yet. My focus remains on Crystal Palace, and we will see how things develop as the winter transfer window approaches.”
The 29-year-old Muñoz has appeared 19 times this season, scoring 2 goals and providing 2 assists, with averages per game of 5.7 tackles, 3.7 interceptions, 3.3 clearances, and 2.6 tackles. It is reported that Crystal Palace would be willing to sell if offered £35 million. In the past, the “Eagles” sold a right-back to Manchester United—Wan-Bissaka for £50 million under Solskjær’s management—but the transfer didn’t fully succeed.

Transfer expert Ben Jacobs revealed that Manchester United’s sporting director Jason Wilcox admires Newcastle United’s Tino Livramento, a versatile defender capable of playing on both flanks, while United’s wing-back positions on both sides have vulnerabilities. Wilcox worked with Livramento at Southampton, and at 23 years old, he fits Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s youth-focused strategy.
Jacobs stated: “Livramento’s strength lies in his ability to play on both right and left sides. Therefore, I completely understand why Manchester United would want this player. Also, we cannot overlook Wilcox’s deep knowledge of the player, which plays a crucial role in the entire negotiation.”
Coming from Chelsea’s youth academy, Livramento has many admirers. Jacobs said: “Sources reveal that Manchester City is the club most eager to acquire Livramento in 2026, but if Newcastle is willing to sell, more clubs will join the race. Especially Manchester United, where many appreciate Livramento. Of course, Newcastle’s newly appointed sporting director Ross Wilson wants to renew Livramento’s contract to prove his capability.”
Livramento’s contract runs until 2028, giving Newcastle the upper hand. Moreover, the player’s injury record is a major concern; he has missed 9 games this season and was sidelined for over a year during his time at Southampton due to injury.

If Manchester United’s coach Amorin had his way, he might favor the talented youngster Salvador Blopa from his former club Sporting CP. Amorin previously hoped United would sign Sporting’s Giovanni Cunha, but the latter was intercepted by Chelsea. According to the Daily Mail, 18-year-old Blopa is now the alternative choice, considered the right flank’s Nuno Mendes. He scored twice on his debut in last month’s Portuguese League Cup, becoming the first to do so since 1938.
