Vietnamese football experienced a miraculous and historic year in 2025.

Vietnamese football achieved a milestone by having 7 teams secure spots in the Asian Championship finals in 2025.

Vietnamese football made history by sending 7 teams to the Asian Championship finals in 2025. The year 2025 marked a special milestone for Vietnamese football as, for the first time, 7 national teams qualified for the Asian Championship finals in 2025 and 2026.

This milestone began with the women's futsal team, which competed in the Asian women's futsal qualifiers in January 2025 and successfully earned a place in the finals held in China in February 2025 (reaching the quarterfinals).

Following that, Vietnamese football saw an additional 6 teams qualify for the 2026 Asian Championship finals, including: the women's team, men's futsal team, U23 team, women's U20 team, women's U17 team, and men's U17 team (no U20 Asian qualifiers were held in 2025). The fact that all 6 teams participating in the qualifiers advanced is considered an unprecedented achievement, demonstrating strong and balanced progress across all team levels.

Having all national teams simultaneously present at the 2026 Asian football finals, with opportunities to compete against top teams from Asia and worldwide, not only affirms Vietnam's football status but also offers an ideal chance to improve professional skills and build competitive resilience, laying the foundation for achieving greater future goals.
