Vice-captain striker Nguyễn Đình Bắc confirmed that the U22 Vietnam team is set to win against U22 Laos in the opening Group B men's football matchSEA Games 33at 16:00 on December 3rd.
Speaking to the media before training, striker Nguyễn Đình Bắc stated the entire team is in great spirits and ready to aim for a full 3 points on the opening day. Đình Bắc said: "The whole squad is very excited and determined. It’s difficult to predict anything, but we will give our all to have a successful start."

Regarding the 3-0 win by U23 Vietnam over U23 Laos in the opening match of the U23 Southeast Asia Championship last July, Đình Bắc emphasized: "Each tournament is a different story. Teams in the region have all improved, so tomorrow’s game will definitely be challenging. We must stay fully focused to get the desired result."
The important goal that helped CAHN advance recently in the AFC Champions League Two also gave the 2004-born striker great inspiration. He said: "That goal provided a huge boost of motivation for me before joining the national team. It came at the right time and increased my confidence."
For the first time serving as vice-captain of the U22 Vietnam team, Đình Bắc expressed pride: "It is both a responsibility and a pleasure. I will do my best to contribute to the team’s victories."
Đình Bắc also shared about being allowed by his club to join the national team earlier than expected. He deeply appreciates this: "I told coach Mano Polking (head coach of CAHN) that this is my first SEA Games, and fans are eagerly awaiting this tournament. I hope he understands and supports me to have the best integration time. Fortunately, everything has gone smoothly."
