The latest Paris Olympic men's basketball power rankings: United States No. 1, host No. 4, Japan bottom

On July 24, Beijing time, ESPN announced the latest power ranking of the top 12 men's basketball team for the Paris Olympics, the United States Dream Team ranked first without suspense, Serbia with Jokic ranked 2nd, Canada ranked 3rd, host France ranked 4th, Germany ranked 5th, Australia 6th, Greece 7th, Spain 8th, Brazil 9th, Puerto Rico 10th, South Sudan 11th, Asian team Japan ranked 12th.

United States ranks first in strength

United States basketball has the title of Dream Team, with the United States men's basketball team winning 16 gold medals in the past 20 Olympic Games, and the other four championships have been won by the former Soviet Union (2 balls), the former Yugoslavia and Argentina. So whether from the bottom or the strength on paper, the United States team deserves to be in the first gear. In this year's Olympic Games, NBA stars such as James, Durant, Curry, and thick eyebrows are leading, and they have only one goal, which is to win the gold medal.

Serbia 2nd

The second-place team in the power rankings is Serbia, Serbia the runner-up at the Rio 2016 Olympics and last year's World Cup, and their players have very high basketball IQs. Jokic is already a star in one of a kind, and he has proven himself in the NBA and international competitions. In this year's Olympics, Serbia and United States are in the same group in the group stage, and it is not a bad thing to meet early.

Canada

Canada's strength is growing rapidly, and Alexander, Murray, Barrett, Dillon, Olynyk and a group of NBA stars are comparable, and their NBA player lineup can be comparable to that of the United States team, and the strength ranking in the top three is a normal result. The host France team also has a lot of NBA players, led by talented player Wembanyama, as well as Gobert, Batum, Fournier, but in the recent warm-up, France suffered four consecutive defeats, facing Germany, Serbia, Canada, and Australia without a win.

Mills + Giddey

Germany, the new World Cup champions, are in fifth place, led by the brothers Schröder and Wagner, and the competition at the Olympics is more fierce than the World Cup, and Germany needs to be solid if they want to make history. Australia are in sixth place, but they have the quality to challenge for medals, Mills is still young, and young Giddey has improved significantly. Greece, led by Brother Alphabet, is in 7th place.

Japan is at the bottom of the list

Spain are currently ranked 8th, and Spain have reached the semi-finals in 2008, 2012 and 2016, so don't underestimate their heritage, Rudy Fernandez ushered in the final dance. Brazil is in 9th, Puerto Rico is 10th, South Sudan is 11th and Japan is 12th, and they can only act as spoilers for an upset, with South Sudan and United States losing just one point in their warm-ups. Can Japan get at least one victory? In the group stage, they are in the same group as Brazil, France and Germany.
