Grealish showed strong performances in his initial matches for Everton after joining on loan from Manchester City in August, although he had recently experienced a drop in form.
The 30-year-old, who lost favour with City manager Pep Guardiola last season, had scored only once in his first 14 appearances for Everton before delivering the winning goal against Bournemouth.
Grealish found the net in the 78th minute with a shot that was deflected which Everton manager Moyes humorously suggested might be recorded as an own goal by Bournemouth's Bafode Diakite.
"I believe the most important thing for Jack right now is that he's getting plenty of playing time. He's performing well for us, whether it's providing assists or scoring goals," Moyes commented.
"He’s had a few matches where he could have performed better, but he definitely contributes to the team.
"I actually think the fans appreciate him a lot because of his attitude and how he carries himself.
"I want him to score more goals. I keep telling him, 'Your assists are great but I want you to score more'.
"I joked with him, hoping that goal doesn't get counted as an own goal. But he's a key player for us and is definitely helping improve Everton."
Grealish won both the Premier League and Champions League with City after transferring from Aston Villa in 2021.
However, the England international struggled to sustain that level due to injuries and rumors of late-night partying.
Despite his uneven form, Grealish expressed enjoyment in his time at Everton, largely because of his connection with Moyes.
"I’ve scored two goals this season now, one from a tackle and one was deflected, but I was criticized for not scoring for years so I’ll take both. It’s great to contribute. This is a fantastic team," Grealish said.
"I really admire the manager. I’ve only known him for a few months, but I can’t say enough good things about him as a person and how he makes me feel.
"He makes me eager to go out and play for him, so credit to him."
