On December 13th Beijing time, the WTT Hong Kong Finals women’s singles quarterfinals all wrapped up. In the latest two matches, Kuai Man battled through six games to defeat Oto Sae 4-2, and Sun Yingsha dominated Nagasaki Miyu 4-0. This finalized the four semifinalists: Chen Yi, Wang Manyu, Kuai Man, and Sun Yingsha. The Chinese team accomplished a clean sweep of the semifinals and even clinched the championship and runner-up spots early. The semifinal matchups are set: Sun Yingsha will face Kuai Man, while Wang Manyu goes against Chen Yi!

Kuai Man faced Oto Sae. Kuai Man is a rising star in Chinese table tennis, steadily making her mark and capable of competing on three fronts. In the quarterfinals, she battled Japanese rising star Oto Sae for a semifinal berth, marking her second consecutive round against a Japanese player. Kuai Man took the initiative early, unleashing powerful attacks to claim the first game 11-6. In the second game, Oto Sae struck back fiercely, winning 11-4 to even the score. The third game was a fierce fight; Oto Sae held firm to take it 11-9 and lead 2-1. In the fourth game, Kuai Man’s sharp offense earned her four game points, but Oto Sae saved them all. The two exchanged points intensely until Kuai Man narrowly edged out a 16-14 win, leveling the match at 2-2. Kuai Man came out aggressive in the fifth, overwhelming Oto Sae 11-4 to reach match point. The sixth game was fiercely contested again, reaching a critical point where Kuai Man’s superior skill earned her a 12-10 victory, avoiding a decider and winning the match 4-2!

Sun Yingsha competed against Nagasaki Miyu. As the world number one and strongest female singles player on the Chinese team, Sun Yingsha’s quarterfinal against Japanese rising star Nagasaki Miyu was expected to be straightforward, with Sun aiming for the semifinals. The first game saw Nagasaki Miyu fighting fiercely, pushing Sun to the limit in a close battle, but Sun prevailed 12-10. After that, the match turned one-sided. Sun unleashed her full firepower and comprehensive attacks, winning the next three games 11-6, 11-6, and 11-1, completing a 4-0 sweep that eliminated all Japanese women players and made a significant impact!
