Barcelona reportedly agrees to a permanent deal, Rashford willing to push Manchester United out! He mocks the Red Devils' lack of ambition making him unable to stay.

Spanish reports indicate that Barcelona is increasingly inclined to secure Rashford permanently, given his impressive performances on loan from Manchester United and his potential to pressure his old club into reducing the €30 million buyout price.

Seen as one of Ruben Amorim's "five rats," Rashford was loaned to Barcelona without a fee this summer, though the possibility of a permanent move has remained uncertain. Now, Mundo Deportivo, one of Barcelona's main media outlets, suggests that the chances of Rashford staying next season are growing stronger.

Spanish media say that after contributing 7 goals and 9 assists in 23 matches, Barcelona's sporting department prefers to sign him permanently rather than let him leave. What impressed the club's top management most was Rashford's smooth adaptation to the club and team, his lack of complaints as a substitute, and his precise passing and crossing—skills he lacked at Manchester United—making him the team's top assist provider.

Earlier this month, Barcelona's coach Hans Flick praised Rashford as a good option off the bench and stated that after adapting to the new club and league, the player has now reached his peak form.

"Having a player like Rashford on the bench shows that we have an excellent squad. There are many great players in this position at Barcelona, and that's just how it is, but I can confidently say he is a true professional," Flick said.

He added, "Moreover, his attitude and mindset are excellent. I think he needed some time to adjust at first, but now he is at his best. I talk with players who aren't starting to explain why, but he told me, 'You don't need to explain anything to me; everything is for the team. We must win the three points, and nothing else matters.' That is the most valuable thing. It's the right attitude, and you can see his mentality. I'm really happy he's here."

There are even rumors in Spanish media that Barcelona sees signing Rashford as a no-lose situation; even if they don't use him themselves, he could be involved in trades for other players, such as swapping for Atlético Madrid's Argentine forward Julián Álvarez.

In any case, it is clear that the 28-year-old Rashford has made it known he has no intention of returning to Manchester United and has repeatedly expressed his desire to remain at Barcelona after his loan ends. He might go to great lengths to stay, even disregarding his boyhood club Manchester United.

This week, Rashford reiterated, "Of course, I want to stay at Barcelona; that is the ultimate goal. But that's not the only reason I train hard and give my all—my aim is to win titles. Barcelona is a large and outstanding club, built to compete for championships."

Rashford also subtly criticized the current Manchester United, saying the lack of lofty goals there hindered his performance. "Is there pressure at Barcelona? Yes, there is pressure, but it’s not negative pressure; it’s the kind of pressure players crave, the positive pressure I've always wanted as a professional. I can't stay somewhere that doesn't pursue big ambitions. For me, in clubs where the demand for success isn't highest, it's harder to find motivation and perform at my best. Now, I am in an excellent place and environment to continue my football career. Every day, I simply give my all to help the team win."
