The U16 PVF team representing Vietnam will challenge U16 Barcelona and PSG in a youth friendly competition hosted in Qatar.
Good news for the nation's youth football as U16 PVF officially becomes the sole representative of Vietnam participating in the prestigious international tournament Alkass International Cup 2026. The event will take place at the end of January in Doha, Qatar, gathering 8 top youth academies from 3 continents.
This is a "golden" opportunity for young Vietnamese talents to compete against some of the world's best football systems. Here, U16 PVF will meet renowned European football names such as U16 Barcelona (Spain), U16 Paris Saint-Germain (France) and U16 Rangers (Scotland).
Besides the presence of European teams, the tournament also features strong opponents from other regions: Asia: U16 Aspire Academy (host Qatar), U16 Kashiwa Reysol (Japan). Africa: U16 Etoile Sportive du Sahel (Tunisia), U16 Mohammed VI Academy (Morocco).
Being invited to the Alkass Cup confirms the reputation of the PVF academy on the international youth football map. This is not only a platform for players to learn modern football thinking but also an opportunity to showcase Vietnam's promising football generation to the world.
