Man City's new signing experiences a magical three days: a last-minute winner against Spurs on Thursday, a transfer to Man City on Friday, and debut, first goal, first assist, and MVP on Saturday.

Man City's newly signed Ghanaian winger Semenyo, currently third on the Premier League scoring chart this season, had a remarkable three-day streak — a passionate trilogy: netting a last-minute winner versus Spurs on Thursday, moving to Man City on Friday, and delivering his debut performance with a goal, assist, and match MVP honors on Saturday.

  • On Thursday in the 21st round of the Premier League, Bournemouth defeated Spurs 3-2 at home, with Semenyo scoring the decisive goal in the 95th minute, ending Bournemouth's 11-match winless streak in the league. This was also Semenyo’s farewell gift to the Cherries, a perfect parting present.
  • On Friday, Semenyo completed his transfer from Bournemouth to Man City for a total fee of £64 million (62.5 million euros plus a 1.5 million euro add-on, including a clause granting Bournemouth 10% of any future resale profit), officially beginning his journey with the Premier League giants.
  • On Saturday, in the third round of the FA Cup, Man City thrashed League One side Exeter City 10-1. Semenyo started for Man City and was substituted in the 64th minute, having contributed both a goal and an assist. In this dominant win, Semenyo marked his Man City debut with a goal, an assist, and was named the official man of the match (MVP). Beyond his goal and assist, he completed one successful dribble, made two key passes, and achieved a passing accuracy of 92.7%. Post-match, media awarded him the highest rating of 9.5.

The 26-year-old Ghanaian winger Semenyo, a two-footed player, can serve as a rotational option for Doku or play as a right winger, creating a dual-wing threat alongside Doku. Semenyo not only excels at dribbling but also possesses strong scoring ability, making him Guardiola’s key secondary offensive weapon at Man City besides Haaland.
