Manchester United reportedly offers a weekly salary of £70,000 to lure a speedy winger! Priced at €100 million, no deal expected in the January window; big spending planned for the summer by Rangnick.

Manchester United initially aimed to bring in Bournemouth’s Antoine Semenyo during the January window, but he opted for Manchester City and finalized his transfer. Currently, the Red Devils appear to be targeting Yan Diomande of RB Leipzig, a 19-year-old winger from Ivory Coast whose playing style resembles Semenyo’s.

Known for his pace, Diomande joined Leipzig last year from Spain’s Leganés and has quickly become their next big prospect. Rumors suggest Manchester United would need to pay €90 million to secure him, but Leipzig values him at €100 million and is reluctant to sell.

According to the English outlet "Insight Offside," Manchester United has been in contact with Diomande’s agent and offered a five-year contract with an annual salary of €3.5 million. The weekly wage of €70,000 is reportedly attractive enough for the young winger.

However, RB Leipzig remains the biggest obstacle in the deal. With top clubs like Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham also monitoring Diomande, Leipzig is unlikely to budge. They plan to sell him only in the summer unless an irresistible offer arrives in January.

Manchester United is unlikely to make any major signings in January, especially since the club has yet to appoint a permanent manager and won’t have one before the season ends. Therefore, the chances of expensive transfers are minimal. "Football Insider" reports that if United fails to qualify for the Champions League this season, their transfer budget will be further restricted.

Pete O’Rourke stated: "A managerial change at Manchester United won’t significantly impact their January transfer activity. The club doesn’t plan to make many signings this month and might not bring anyone in at all. I think they’ll be pleased when players return from the Africa Cup of Nations, which will effectively strengthen the squad."

"Clearly, they want to save their resources for the summer because by then, Old Trafford may have a new manager, who will naturally want to handle player recruitment themselves. So, I believe Amroliyan’s departure won’t alter Manchester United’s transfer plans for this month."

Even in the summer, United’s focus won’t be on forwards, as they already have players like Sheshko valued at €85 million, Cunha at £62.5 million, Mbemo at £71 million, and Amad Diallo at €40 million, alongside Mason Mount and Bruno Fernandes. Adding another €100 million attacker would be excessive.

Midfield is the primary area of focus for Manchester United’s signings. The club’s interest in Nottingham Forest’s Elliott Anderson is well-known, and they are considered strong contenders for the 23-year-old England international. Anderson’s market value is estimated to be close to £100 million!

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano said: "This transfer is expected to happen in the summer. It’s too early to say which club will be the frontrunner. What’s certain is that he is high on Manchester United’s list, receiving similar attention as Carlos Baleba. United are considering two or three potential targets, and I believe their main focus in 2026 will be midfield reinforcements, with Anderson undoubtedly among them."

Romano added: "It’s confirmed that Manchester United will definitely be involved in the race for Anderson. Of course, many clubs are interested in him. Manchester City will also look for midfielders, and Chelsea’s next move remains to be seen. So, I expect fierce competition. What’s clear is that Anderson’s name has been mentioned multiple times internally at United, and they will certainly be strong contenders."
