The opening ceremony of the National U19 Football Championship Finals - Modern Cup 2025/2026 has begun.

The final round is held from January 14th to 27th at the PVF Football Training Center (Hưng Yên), featuring 12 teams: Thể Công Viettel I, PVF, PVF-CAND (host), Hà Nội, Sông Lam Nghệ An, Hồng Lĩnh Hà Tĩnh, LPBank Hoàng Anh Gia Lai, Ho Chi Minh City, SHB Đà Nẵng, Đắk Lắk, Ho Chi Minh City Police, and Đồng Tháp.

The 12 teams are divided into three groups, competing in a single round-robin format to earn points for ranking. The top two teams from each group and the two best third-placed teams across the groups will advance to the quarterfinals.

In his opening remarks, Vietnam Football Federation Deputy General Secretary and Organizing Committee Head Nguyễn Minh Châu emphasized: With careful preparation and the support of sponsors, alongside the teams' spirit of fair and noble competition, the National U19 Football Championship Finals - Modern Cup 2025/2026 promises to deliver exciting matches rich in professionalism, where young players showcase their talents on the field.

Immediately following the opening ceremony, the opening match of Group A took place between U19 Thể Công Viettel I and the host team U19 PVF-CAND. The match ended with U19 PVF-CAND winning 1-0, with the only goal scored in the 8th minute by player number 18, Bùi Duy Đăng.
