The head coach of Thailand's national team has made surprising comments about the two groups in the AFF Cup 2026.

According to the draw results for AFF Cup 2026, the Thailand team is placed in Group B alongside Malaysia, the Philippines, Myanmar, and Laos. Regarding this group, Anthony Hudson, the coach of the "War Elephants", stated: “This outcome makes us very happy, although there are no easy matches; every team has a chance."

Notably, the English strategist unexpectedly mentioned Group A, where two championship contenders will face each other from the opening matches: "I am pleased because looking at Group A, Indonesia and Vietnam are two very strong rivals in the region. Clearly, Thailand has an easier group,”shared coach Anthony Hudson.
