On the afternoon of January 19, the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) held the draw ceremony for the group stage of the 2026 Southeast Asian Women's Futsal Championship. This is the second edition of the tournament, following the inaugural event in the Philippines where the Vietnamese women's futsal team claimed the championship.
This year’s competition features seven of Southeast Asia’s top women’s futsal teams: Thailand (ranked 8th in the world), Vietnam – the defending champion (ranked 11th globally), Indonesia (ranked 18th), Malaysia (ranked 21st), Myanmar (ranked 38th), Australia (ranked 66th), and the Philippines (ranked 69th).

The 2026 Southeast Asian Women's Futsal Championship will take place from February 24 to March 2, 2026, at Terminal Hall, Terminal 21 Shopping Mall, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, Thailand. Matches are open to the public and will be broadcast live on the TrueVisions Now platform (Thailand).
