With Shanxi defeating Liaoning, Shenzhen's buzzer-beater over Zhejiang, and Shanghai beating Beijing, the latest CBA standings have been released.

On January 21st Beijing time, the CBA regular season continued with several matches finishing last night. Fujian won 105-91 against Tongxi in a matchup of weaker teams, Jiangsu was heavily beaten 65-89 by Xinjiang, Shanghai triumphed over Beijing 86-67 in a strong contest, Shanxi defeated Liaoning 90-86, Tianjin crushed Ningbo 103-93, and Zhejiang fell short 90-92 to Shenzhen’s last-second shot. Consequently, the updated standings have been revealed, with Shanghai in second, Beijing fifth, and Xinjiang at 15!

Jiangsu faced Xinjiang. Xinjiang had suffered three consecutive losses recently and was up against Jiangsu, a struggling team with two straight wins, hoping to bounce back. Right from the start, Xinjiang spread their offense and pulled ahead 24-13, building a double-digit lead. In the second and third quarters, both teams’ shooting percentages dropped, but Xinjiang continued to suppress Jiangsu. In the final quarter, Xinjiang struck hard again with a 32-23 run, extending their lead. Ultimately, Xinjiang’s dominance led to a decisive victory over Jiangsu!

Shanghai took on Beijing. Both are strong teams and delivered an intense battle. In the first quarter, Beijing’s shooting was dismal, while Shanghai combined inside and outside plays to build a 9-point lead. In the second quarter, Beijing’s offense improved with multiple scorers, outscoring Shanghai 32-18 to take an 8-point lead at halftime. After the break, Beijing went cold, missing numerous shots, while Shanghai surged ahead with a 28-10 quarter, widening the gap. In the final period, Beijing collapsed offensively with little success, and Shanghai ultimately crushed Beijing to secure the win!

Shanxi faced Liaoning. Last season’s semifinal showdown was fiercely competitive, but Shanxi’s superior skills earned them the victory!

Zhejiang played Shenzhen. The game was highly intense with the score tightly contested and no team able to pull away. The suspense lasted until the final moments, resembling a battle of legends. With just a 2-point difference, York hit a three-pointer for the game-winner, but on the last possession, Smith calmly stepped back and nailed a three to clinch the victory for Shenzhen in a thrilling finish!
