Leaving PVF CAND, Coach Thạch Bảo Khanh returns to his former club Thể Công Viettel, albeit with a new position.
Recently, Viettel Sports Company held a contract signing ceremony to welcome the return of Coach Thạch Bảo Khanh. Since he was a 12-year-old boy, player Thạch Bảo Khanh took his first steps on the Cột Cờ field in Hanoi.
The Thể Công football club witnessed his growth and career achievements. Coach Thạch Bảo Khanh has previously coached the youth and first teams of Thể Công – Viettel. This time, he returns in a new capacity as the head of youth training at Viettel Sports Company, part of Viettel Group.
After signing the contract, Coach Thạch Bảo Khanh shared: “The youth teams of Thể Công – Viettel currently have a solid foundation, a strong framework, and a proud tradition. However, on this return, I aim to bring change with a new development aligned with modern football trends.
Modern football requires versatile players who can adapt to various tactical formations, play at a high tempo, and transition effectively. To achieve this, training must start early from the U13, U14 age groups.
Moreover, we need to change the system to encourage young players to be creative, proactive, and play smarter. There are many goals and plans ahead, and we will gradually implement them to open new pathways for youth football development at Thể Công – Viettel.”
Earlier, Coach Thạch Bảo Khanh had to say goodbye to PVF CAND club before the first phase of this V-League season ended due to poor results. After 11 rounds, he became the sixth coach to leave his position, alongside coaches Teguramori Makoto (Hanoi), Phan Như Thuật (SLNA), Nguyễn Anh Đức (Becamex TPHCM), Vũ Hồng Việt (Nam Định), and Choi Won Kwon (Thanh Hóa). This highlights the harshness and pressure of the league.
