Man Utd has announced that Collette Roche has been assigned an important new position in the club's management structure.
Recently, Man Utd confirmed the appointment of Collette Roche as the Chief Executive Officer responsible for the development of the new stadium. She plays a vital role in the ambitious plan of the "Red Devils" to build a modern stadium with a capacity of 100,000 seats.
Last March, Man Utd officially revealed their intention to construct a brand-new stadium adjacent to Old Trafford. Co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe stated that this will be “the greatest stadium in the world, positioned at the heart of Old Trafford’s redevelopment.” This is a dream the British billionaire has relentlessly pursued since finalizing his minority investment in the club.
Last week, Man Utd launched the Old Trafford Regeneration Mayor’s Development Corporation (OTR MDC), led by Lord Coe, to oversee the project until completion.
Established as a catalyst for change, the OTR MDC is managing the transformation of the 370-acre site at Old Trafford. This regeneration project will deliver over 15,000 new homes, create up to 90,000 jobs, enhance public spaces, and bring substantial infrastructure benefits.
In the announcement, Man Utd stated that Roche will report directly to CEO Omar Berrada.
Mr. Berrada commented: “Collette has done an excellent job leading the club’s efforts to advance the ambition of building a new 100,000-seat stadium as part of the wider Old Trafford regeneration plan.
As we accelerate these plans, we are delighted that Collette will now be fully dedicated to realizing this highly important project.”
Speaking for her part, Roche said: “I am extremely proud to be entrusted with leading the new stadium development project and continuing to work closely with the Mayor’s Development Corporation and all diverse stakeholders.
Our ambition is to create the best stadium in the world for the team and the finest fan community in sports, guided by fan input throughout the design and development process.
We are committed to a consultative approach, ensuring that the plans are shaped by fans at every step.”
Meanwhile, following a resounding victory over Arsenal, Man Utd will return to action this weekend hosting Fulham at home in the 24th round of the Premier League.
