The 2026 Asian Futsal Championship Final will mark the 18th edition of the region’s premier futsal competition, held biennially and organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for national teams across Asia. This tournament is one of the continent’s most significant futsal events, bringing together Asia’s strongest teams, including the Vietnam futsal team.
According to plans, Indonesia will host the 2026 tournament. This will be Indonesia’s second time as host, previously organizing the event in 2002. Meanwhile, Iran currently holds the championship title, having secured their 13th title in 2024, reaffirming their position as Asia’s top futsal team.
Regarding the host selection process, both Pakistan and Indonesia initially expressed interest in hosting. However, on November 8, 2024, the AFC Futsal Committee officially chose Indonesia as the host nation, marking a significant step in preparations for the upcoming finals.
For participation, the qualifying draw took place on June 26, 2025. As the host country, Indonesia automatically qualifies for the final tournament, while other teams must compete in qualifiers to claim the remaining 15 spots. The qualification matches will be held from September 20 to October 22, 2025, determining the full lineup for the 2026 Asian Futsal Championship finals.
