Chelsea's coach speaks frankly about Palmer's potential move to MU

Rumors surrounding Palmer's future have suddenly intensified, but recent reactions from the coaching staff indicate that the situation is not as tense as speculated.

Speculation about Cole Palmer's future flared up after some UK sources suggested the midfielder is unhappy with life in London. However, head coach Liam Rosenior quickly reassured fans, confirming Chelsea has no plans to let the 24-year-old star leave despite interest from Manchester United.

The rumors originated from reports claiming Palmer is "unsettled" after more than two and a half years at Chelsea following his £42.5 million transfer from Manchester City. Palmer is known to have grown up supporting Man Utd, and his homesickness has led to speculation about a possible move to Old Trafford in the near future.

In reality, Chelsea regards Palmer as one of the most vital players in the squad. He signed a long-term contract last year, extending until June 2033. Since leaving Man City, the England international has made a significant impact, establishing himself as one of the Premier League's most notable attacking threats.

Nevertheless, this season has not been entirely smooth for Palmer. A series of injuries to his groin, toes, and thigh have prevented him from maintaining consistent playing rhythm. This has somewhat affected the form and playing time of the player expected to lead Chelsea's attack.

According to TEAMtalk, during a recent press conference, Rosenior emphasized his player's mental stability: “Of course. It's very simple. Cole is a fantastic player, just like the guy sitting next to me [Moises Caicedo] and many others in the squad. I'm not surprised by the timing of the rumors — a new coach arrives and suddenly there are claims players are unsettled. That’s not true.”

He continued to reassure fans with a firm statement: “Cole is here, he’s happy, and I’m eager to see him back on the pitch.” Rosenior also mentioned there is no need to discuss further with club management because “There’s no reason to seek assurances. It’s completely unrealistic… Cole is happy.” These statements indicate Chelsea views Palmer as a long-term part of the team’s future.
