Thanh Nhàn and Xuân Bắc were given significant presents by PVF-CAND after their achievements with the Vietnam squad.
During the latest training session, players Nguyễn Thanh Nhàn and Nguyễn Xuân Bắc received gifts from PVF-CAND leaders in recognition of their gold medal at SEA Games 33 and bronze medal 2026 U23 Asian Championship Final recently.
Both Thanh Nhàn and Xuân Bắc have been key players for Vietnam in recent tournaments. Thanh Nhàn was a strategic asset for coach Kim Sang-sik at SEA Games 33 and scored the decisive goal in the final against Thailand, securing the gold medal for U22 Vietnam. Unfortunately, due to injury, Thanh Nhàn had limited playing time at the U23 Asian Championship.
Although Xuân Bắc is less frequently mentioned, he is a vital member of the U22/U23 Vietnam squad. Coach Kim Sang-sik often starts him in midfield due to his excellent game control and passing abilities. He has participated in almost all matches for the U22/U23 Vietnam teams.
Besides Thanh Nhàn and Xuân Bắc, PVF-CAND had another player called up to the U22/U23 Vietnam squad, namely Nguyễn Hiểu Minh. Unfortunately, this defender suffered a serious injury during the semi-final match of the 2026 U23 Asian Championship against U23 China.
Detailed examinations showed that Hiểu Minh tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee. This type of injury typically requires a recovery period of 6 to 9 months, possibly extending up to 10 months before returning to top-level competition. This is very sad news for PVF-CAND fans and Vietnamese football supporters.
The support from PVF-CAND leadership serves as great encouragement, motivating Thanh Nhàn and Xuân Bắc to continue striving for their club. The 2025/26 V-League season will officially resume at the end of this week, on January 30-31. PVF-CAND will face CA Ho Chi Minh City at 18:00 on February 1.
