Manchester United is willing to sell Ugart this summer for 30 million! Rashford changed transfer strategy because of him, six players on the clearance list

Since Carrick returned to Manchester United as head coach, he has led the team to three consecutive wins, appearing almost like a miracle worker. However, it seems unlikely that the Uruguayan midfielder Ugart will regain form, as the club’s patience with him has run out. According to "Jingji Net," Manchester United plans to sell him in the summer, pricing him at only half of his original 60 million euro value.

Ugart has been included in Manchester United’s summer transfer clearance list, alongside teammates Rashford and André Onana. Højlund is somewhat a half-case, as Napoli will trigger a mandatory buy clause if they qualify for the Champions League; currently, they rank third in Serie A. Sancho and Malacia do not need to be dealt with since their contracts expire and they will leave automatically if not renewed.

On the German transfer market website, the 24-year-old Ugart is valued at exactly 30 million euros, but if Manchester United manages to sell him at this price, it will be considered a great success, and the actual price might even be lower. After all, Ugart still earns a high weekly wage of £120,000.

This is not the first time Ugart has been abandoned by a top club. After one year at Paris Saint-Germain, Luis Enrique was also dissatisfied with his performance and chose to sell him to Manchester United at the original price, then brought in João Neves. In his first season at PSG, Ugart appeared 37 times, but his poor passing, weak positioning, and reckless pressing led Enrique to decisively sell him.

In his second season at Manchester United, despite playing over 60 matches, Red Devils fans can hardly recall any outstanding performances from the Uruguayan international; if anything, most memories are of poor displays. Desperately, even when Carrick or other coaches deployed Ugart as a substitute to use his stamina to withstand late opposition attacks, he failed to fulfill the role.

In last week’s match against Fulham, after Ugart replaced Casemiro, Fulham scored twice within 15 minutes to equalize. Statistics show that this season, Manchester United has conceded 24 goals while Ugart was on the pitch.

Interestingly, after Manchester United’s stoppage-time winning goal, Ugart smiled brightly and attended the celebration party with his girlfriend Georgia Mechis. She was formerly linked to Mbappé and is considered the "femme fatale" responsible for Ugart’s complete loss of form.

According to British media, due to the lessons learned from Ugart and Antony, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the INEOS management team have drawn conclusions, and now Manchester United prioritizes players with Premier League experience. Antony, the 100 million euro man, was signed by the previous management, but Ugart was purchased after Rashford’s takeover of the club.

Among the Premier League players Manchester United signed this season, forwards Mbemo and Cunha lead the team in goals. In contrast, the 85 million euro striker Sheshko, despite scoring more recently, has not yet had the same impact, reinforcing the club’s transfer department’s determination to continue targeting players already established in the Premier League.

It is well known that Manchester United’s current three main defensive midfield targets are all Premier League players: Elliott Anderson from Nottingham Forest, Adam Walton from Crystal Palace, and Carlos Baleba from Brighton.

Last summer, Manchester United invested most heavily in the forward line, with good results. The team has become the third-highest scoring side in the Premier League, and no team in the league has taken more shots than Manchester United this season.

This summer, the club will focus on strengthening the midfield, hoping to achieve similar success. Sheshko’s hard work in training has also convinced Manchester United to place confidence in him and concentrate fully on rebuilding the midfield.

During the winter transfer window, Manchester United received inquiries about Ugart from Ajax and three other Turkish Super League clubs including Galatasaray, but the club declined to weaken squad depth since there were no current plans to bring in reinforcements.

In the summer, Manchester United will consider selling Ugart. With Casemiro’s contract expiring and his departure, the team plans to bring in two new midfielders as replacements. Koby Meno and Bruno Fernandes are likely to stay, forming the core of the midfield next season.
