Carrick Gains Strong Support from Manchester United Dressing Room! If Not Confirmed, Three Clubs Interested; Will Definitely Coach in the Premier League Next Season

Whether Michael Carrick will continue to manage Manchester United next season remains undecided. According to British media, the club's board has decided to wait until the end of the season before making a decision. Carrick was initially appointed as a caretaker, but following a series of consecutive wins under his leadership, retaining him has now become a possible option.

Even if Carrick secures a Champions League spot for the team, his permanent appointment is not guaranteed. However, Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Ineos group will certainly have to give the matter serious consideration. Manchester United legend Gary Neville revealed on Sky Sports UK that the management has already started searching for a new manager.

Neville said, "I asked the club, putting aside the usual public statements, what is their official stance on the head coach position. They said, 'We have actually begun the process of appointing a manager.' Manchester United stated that regardless of whether the team wins, draws, or loses in the remaining months, they will not rush their decision. They will wait until the end of the season, and if Carrick expresses his desire to be part of the process, he will be included."

Regardless of whether Manchester United appoints Carrick permanently, the 44-year-old England veteran is expected to stay in the Premier League next season due to his performance since taking charge. According to "TEAMtalk," three clubs—Bournemouth, Crystal Palace, and Fulham—have already shown interest.

The contracts of the current managers of these three clubs—António Illarra, Oliver Glasner, and Marco Silva—are all set to expire this summer. Glasner has already confirmed his departure, so these clubs are seeking new managers. Interestingly, Illarra, Glasner, and Silva were previously considered potential future managers for Manchester United and could join on free transfers once their contracts end.

Impressively, Carrick interviewed Tottenham Hotspur manager Thomas Frank as a guest last September, and just six months later, he led his team to a Premier League victory over Spurs. "We discussed coaching philosophies and various processes," Carrick said during the Manchester United vs. Tottenham match. "He was very passionate and thoughtful. I really enjoyed spending time with him and was glad to see him again."

Currently, Carrick is presenting a challenge for Sir Ratcliffe and his team—not only does he have excellent results and strong fan support, but the players also back him wholeheartedly. Argentine defender Lisandro Martínez expressed that he is willing to "run through a wall" for the coach because Carrick has truly touched his heart.

Maguire praised Carrick for bringing energy and unity, while Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw, and Bruno Fernandes have all voiced their support. These players are essentially the key figures in the Manchester United dressing room, including the club’s captain and vice-captain, leadership group members, and the longest-serving players.

Captain Bruno Fernandes said, "I believe Michael has brought the right philosophy, which is about giving players responsibility while also granting us freedom to make necessary decisions on the pitch. He is a great communicator, and I think he remembers that during his last game in charge, I told him I was confident he could become a great coach. Now he’s proving that, and we want to provide more support so that everyone—not just us players—can see that we are quality players, which is why we came to Manchester United, and the coaching staff here is excellent."

Now, Carrick stands undefeated, but whether he will become another Solskjær or evolve into Manchester United’s Guardiola or Zidane depends on his future results.
