Shevchenko's 8,000km Special Training Revealed! Fueled His 65-Meter Sprint to Victory, His Ability to Run and Jump Isn't Just Talent

A journey of eight thousand miles! In the Manchester United vs. Everton fixture, Benjamin Shevchenko's 65-meter dash culminated in a match-winning strike. The goal highlighted his superb capacity for making long, supportive runs. Reports from England disclose that shortly before the game, he undertook an 8,000-plus kilometer trip to participate in a private training program aimed at boosting his form.

The 22-year-old Shevchenko has repeatedly rescued Manchester United and manager Carrick, scoring in three of the last four games and earning the team five crucial points. This is key to United's current fourth-place standing; without those contributions, they would be seventh. After a difficult start, Shevchenko has found his rhythm following the managerial change, delivering goals whether selected from the start by Darren Fletcher or introduced as a substitute by Carrick.

The British *Sun* reports that in the week before United's away game at Everton, with a 13-day break between fixtures, Carrick gave the squad time off. While many players went on holiday, Shevchenko was among those who opted for additional personal training during the break.

Social media videos showed Shevchenko flying to Dubai, UAE, not just for sunshine but primarily for private training sessions. He was seen working hard under the Middle Eastern sun, drenched in sweat. His United teammates Eden Haven and Lenny Yoro were also there for individual training. United's captain, Bruno Fernandes, known as a 'training fanatic,' joked on social media: "Did you go to Dubai just to get some extra training in?"

The extra training paid off, as his movement during matches was outstanding. Fans widely circulated clips of his relentless running. One video shows Shevchenko sprinting in a straight line from his own penalty area to the edge of the opponent's box to receive a pass.

Analysis by Sky Sports UK showed that before his goal against Everton, Shevchenko started his run from beside Cunha as the long pass was struck. He sprinted at a speed of 35 km/h over a distance of 65 meters, arriving in the Everton box to meet Mbeumo's cross and score, before celebrating seemingly without even getting out of breath.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher was astonished by the pace Shevchenko displayed at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. "He left James Tarkowski for dead. The speed was just frightening," Carragher said on Sky Sports.

Beyond his running, Shevchenko possesses remarkable jumping ability, a skill he developed through basketball. An old video captures a 14-year-old Shevchenko leaping high to kick a basketball that was stuck on the rim.

The €85 million striker confirmed the video's authenticity: "Yeah, that was me. It was funny, the ball got stuck and somehow I just wanted to reach it with my foot. Not everyone can do that."

Shevchenko revealed that his supported NBA team is now the Los Angeles Lakers, because his Slovenian compatriot Luka Dončić plays there! If he had chosen basketball over football, Shevchenko said: "Looking at my height, I'd probably only be a shooting guard, because in the basketball world, I'd be considered short, you know!"

Critical Manchester United legends Gary Neville and Roy Keane have concurred on Shevchenko's role in the team. Neville predicted that Shevchenko's time as a regular starter has surely arrived, a view with which Keane agreed.
