The quarterfinal matchups are now set: Hawkins clashes with Robertson in a powerhouse duel, Jiang Jun and Wu Yize face off in an early domestic derby for a semifinal spot, Zhou Yuelong challenges the fierce 'Lion' Higgins, and Bingham battles Lisowski!

Jiang Jun faced Robbie Williams. In this match, Jiang Jun adopted a slow, grinding style, making the pace very slow and the spectacle quite poor. The first two frames ended in a scrappy 1-1 draw. Subsequently, Jiang Jun won three consecutive frames through a mix of attack and defense, securing a 4-1 victory and advancing to the quarterfinals. Although the win was not visually appealing, a win is a win!

Wu Yize played against David Grace. In this contest, Wu Yize was on fire, displaying full offensive power and leaving his opponent with few opportunities. Ultimately, Wu Yize blasted one century break and three breaks over 70, sweeping the match 4-0 to advance to the quarterfinals!
Zhou Yuelong's opponent was Sam Craigie. Zhou started strong in this match, taking the first two frames for a 2-0 lead. In the third frame, Sam Craigie won a tense battle 72-62. However, Zhou Yuelong then found sharp accuracy, producing two consecutive 50+ breaks to win the next two frames, defeating his opponent 4-1 and powerfully moving into the last 8!

Zhao Xintong faced world champion Bingham. Zhao scrappily took the first frame to draw first blood. Bingham then turned on the heat, firing two 60+ breaks to lead 3-1 and reach match point. Zhao Xintong fought back from the brink with a 98-point break to pull one back. However, Bingham won a scrappy frame 79-23, sealing a 4-2 victory and a quarterfinal berth. For Zhao Xintong, this loss might be a good thing, as he was simply too exhausted!

Zhang Anda confronted the seasoned Higgins. Zhang struck first in this match, taking the opening frame with a 68-point break. However, Higgins ignited, winning three consecutive frames to lead 3-1. Zhang Anda responded with a 71-point break to narrow the gap to 2-3. Yet, Higgins proved too formidable, sealing the 4-2 victory with a superb 144-point century break, leaving Zhang Anda stunned. Higgins' firepower was truly overwhelming!
