Que Ngoc Hai and Da Nang Club made an impressive return by defeating PVF-CAND 3-0 in their first match after Hoa Xuan Stadium was officially renamed Chi Lang.
The three points earned against PVF-CAND helped SHB Da Nang raise their total points to 10, narrowing the gap to just 1 point behind that very opponent. Notably, coach Le Duc Tuan and his squad still have one game in hand, opening up a chance for a breakthrough if they can maintain their positive form in the coming period. However, the reality is that SHB Da Nang still sits at the bottom of the table, and the battle to avoid relegation remains extremely challenging.
Speaking after the match, captain Que Ngoc Hai could not hide his joy but maintained a clear-headed view of the current situation. The experienced defender emphasized: “We are very happy with this victory. But the reality is the team is still at the bottom of the table. There is still a lot of work ahead. Today's win will be motivation for the whole team to strive even harder”.
On the pitch, PVF-CAND faced significant difficulties in deploying their play against the home team's well-organized defense. Under the command of Que Ngoc Hai, SHB Da Nang's defensive system maintained high concentration throughout the 90 minutes. Gaps were closed, duels were fierce and effective, leaving the visiting team almost unable to create significant pressure.
Not only was the defense solid, SHB Da Nang also showed sharpness in attack. The three goals scored are proof of their improved ability to capitalize on chances compared to many previous rounds. This is considered one of the most convincing performances by the Han River team since the start of the V.League 2025/26 season.
Sharing more about the pressure the whole team faced after the loss to HAGL, Que Ngoc Hai candidly acknowledged: “After the defeat to HAGL, a direct rival in the relegation battle, the whole team certainly faced a lot of pressure and psychological barriers. But the important thing is that today we played with confidence, overcame that pressure to break the 'deadlock'. The road ahead remains very difficult. We are determined to fight more strongly and put in even more effort to achieve our goal by the end of the season.”
With a clearly improved spirit and the points gap narrowing, SHB Da Nang still has every opportunity in the V.League 2025/26 relegation battle. However, as Que Ngoc Hai himself admitted, one victory is not enough, and the whole team will need much more persistent effort if they want to achieve their goal at the season's end.
