Goalkeeper Trung Kien remains positive in spite of HAGL's 1-3 loss against CAHN in the 14th round of the V-League.
The 1-3 defeat to CAHN in V-League round 14 puts HAGL under continued pressure in the relegation battle. Nevertheless, goalkeeper Tran Trung Kien expressed optimism when assessing his team's performance.
The U23 Vietnam shot-stopper believes the result does not fully reflect what HAGL showed on the pitch: “HAGL played a good match today. Although the outcome wasn't as desired, the team's spirit and style of play were very good,” Trung Kien shared.
According to the 2003-born goalkeeper, facing a strong opponent like CAHN is a valuable opportunity for young players to gain experience: “Losing to a strong team like CAHN will help us learn lessons and aim for better results in upcoming matches,” he added.
Aside from the sporting aspect, Trung Kien was also asked about his physical condition, as he appears to have lost significant weight after the international fixtures. The HAGL goalkeeper stated he is working hard to improve his physique.
“I am doing gym workouts and plenty of activities to adjust my weight and get into the best shape,”he said.
Although the defeat makes HAGL's situation more difficult, Trung Kien still believes the Mountain Street team will soon regain strength in the coming period.
“Football is a long journey. HAGL played well in previous matches. Today, even though we lost, the game we created was not bad. I believe the whole team will focus more and perform better in the future,”the 21-year-old goalkeeper affirmed.
