HLV Polking: 'Too early to talk about the championship with CAHN'

Even while securing the leading position in the standings, CAHN's coach Mano Polking expresses caution regarding the championship.

On the evening of February 28th, CAHN Club secured a 3-1 victory over HAGL at Hang Day Stadium, thereby solidifying their top position in the league table. After the match, Coach Mano Polking expressed satisfaction with his team's impressive comeback. According to the Brazilian strategist, this result clearly reflects the team's fighting spirit and squad depth.

“This was an extremely important victory. Especially in the context of being down 0-1, the way the entire team maintained their fighting spirit and turned the game around made me very happy and proud. The substitute players shone at the right moment, demonstrating CAHN's squad depth,” he said.

When asked about CAHN's often slow starts, Polking attributed the cause to the familiar approach opponents take when facing the police team.

“The issue is always the same. Most teams facing CAHN choose to defend deep, wait for mistakes to counter-attack, and try to waste time. It's a valid tactic to seek victory, but it always poses difficulties for us,” Polking stated.

This tactician also predicted that upcoming matches would feature more open play, particularly the derby against Hanoi FC and the encounter with Ninh Binh.

“If you watch next week's match against Hanoi FC, it will be a different kind of game. Hanoi FC has very skilled players; they will try to play football and attack us. In that case, the match is likely to be more open. It's still too early to talk about the championship. We are only halfway through, and there are many more matches ahead. Nothing is decided yet. Our goal is to take it one match at a time.”
