AFC's reaction to Vietnam's victory in the Asian Cup

India seemed to have secured a point after Sanfida Nongrum came off the bench and equalized in the second half, but Ngan Thi Van Su scored in the fourth minute of second-half stoppage time, earning three valuable points for the Vietnam team.

A confident India threatened the Vietnam women's team and even could have taken the lead with several dangerous attacks. However, Van Su refused to be denied glory as she seized the opportunity after India failed to clear the ball from Vu Thi Hoa's pass; the midfielder executed a superb finish to secure the victory. The Vietnam women's team will face Taiwan on Saturday, while India will confront the tough challenge of playing against Japan, the two-time champion."

Concluding the match, the Vietnam women's team secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over India, temporarily moving up to second place in Group C. Coach Mai Duc Chung's side has the same 3 points as Japan but ranks lower due to an inferior goal difference.
