VNV Academy has officially announced the launch of two key events in the first half of the year: the 2026 School Football Festival and the VNV Academy 2026 Enrollment Day. This is seen as a vital move to boost the school football movement and concurrently establish a systematic, long-term development plan for young talents in Vietnam.
2026 School Football Festival: Laying the Groundwork for School Football
The School Football Festival is organized with the goal of creating a healthy, annual playground for primary and lower secondary school students. The program aims to advance the school football movement, particularly in Ho Chi Minh City, which is regarded as one of the nation's major sports development hubs.

Going beyond just a recreational tournament, the School Football Festival sets several long-term objectives, such as enhancing physical activity within the educational environment, early identification of students with football aptitude, and progressively standardizing the methods for organizing football activities in schools.
A key focus of the program is the training and development of Physical Education teachers, guided by the specialized orientation of football coaches. By improving the professional capacity of teachers, the school football movement will be developed from its foundation, ensuring systematic implementation, continuity, and sustainable maintenance in the future.
The Festival also does not overemphasize competitive results. Instead, the program prioritizes building a positive competitive environment, encouraging students to respect the rules, foster team spirit, and aim for holistic development in both physical fitness and character.
VNV Academy 2026 Enrollment Day: Developing Young Talent from School Football
Parallel to the School Football Festival, VNV Academy is also organizing the 2026 Enrollment Day to seek and select promising young players. This is viewed as a significant next step within the youth football development system the academy is building.
VNV Academy is established on the foundation of the school football system and operates under a socialized model, fostering close collaboration between the academy and families. Unlike many centralized training models, the academy opts for an open development approach, without boarding facilities, to help trainees maintain connections with their family, school, and social environment.

According to its training philosophy, trainees will be coached using professional, age-standardized curricula, particularly suited for players U15 and below. This model aims to create a professional training environment while still ensuring the natural psychological and physiological development of children.
VNV Academy's training program focuses on the comprehensive development of trainees with three main pillars: physical fitness, technique, and mindset, while also emphasizing character. Trainees will practice fundamental techniques, basic tactical thinking, age-appropriate physical development, as well as cultivate discipline, team spirit, and a professional sporting attitude.
This year's Enrollment Day aims to select players born between 2012 and 2016. Selected players will join a long-term training program, supported by their families, schools, and the academy.
Towards a Youth Football Development Ecosystem
According to a VNV Academy representative, linking the School Football Festival with the academy's training program will form a complete ecosystem for youth football development.
Within this ecosystem, schools serve as the foundation for the school football movement; the academy is the environment for professional enhancement and competitive skill development; while families are the crucial support system that helps shape character and provide long-term guidance for young players.
VNV Academy believes that developing football from the formal educational environment, combined with a professional training model that maintains the trainee's connection to family and society, represents a suitable direction aligned with the practical conditions of Vietnamese football at present.
