Schedule of the Vietnam U17 Team at the 2026 ASEAN U17 Championship

Updated fixture list for the Vietnam U17 national team competing in the 2026 ASEAN U17 Championship hosted in Indonesia.

According to the draw results conducted by the ASEAN Football Federation, the Vietnam U17 team is placed in Group A alongside host nation Indonesia U17, Malaysia U17, and Timor-Leste U17. The tournament is scheduled to run from April 11 to April 23, 2026, in the East Java region of Indonesia.

The 2026 ASEAN U17 Championship features 12 youth teams from the region, divided into three groups. Teams will play a single round-robin format to determine rankings. The top team from each group, along with the best-performing runner-up, will advance to the semi-finals to compete for the championship title.

Based on the provisional schedule set by the organizers, Vietnam U17 will first face Timor-Leste U17 in their opening match, followed by a clash with Malaysia U17, before concluding the group stage with a game against host Indonesia U17.

This group is considered quite challenging for Vietnam U17, as Indonesia holds home advantage, and Malaysia has historically been a familiar rival in regional youth competitions.

Matches for the 2026 ASEAN U17 Championship are planned to be held at two stadiums: Gelora Delta (Sidoarjo) and Gelora Joko Samudro (Gresik). This year's tournament is seen as crucial preparation for many regional youth teams ahead of their participation in the 2026 AFC U17 Asian Cup finals scheduled for May in Saudi Arabia.
