After round 16 of V-League, Vietnam U23 and the national team will focus on different tasks. Young forward Le Phat suffered a shoulder dislocation after a collision during training and is likely unable to participate in Vietnam U23's upcoming training camp. This incident occurred while he was training with his club.

During a recent training session, Le Phat had a strong collision with a teammate and fell on the field. The 2007-born player appeared to be in great pain, prompting the coaching staff to quickly call an ambulance to take him to the Provincial General Hospital to assess the injury condition.

This is a regrettable loss for Vietnam U23 as the team prepares to gather for the international friendly tournament CFA Team China 2026. The tournament takes place in Xi'an (China) from March 25 to 31 and is considered an important opportunity for the coaching staff to evaluate the squad and finalize the lineup for the year's objectives.

After conducting imaging scans, doctors determined Le Phat did not have a fracture as initially feared, but only a shoulder dislocation. However, this injury still requires him to rest and needs recovery time, making the possibility of timely return for Vietnam U23's training camp very low.

Although only 19 years old, Le Phat is one of the six players who participated in the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup final stage and are retained in Vietnam U23's training camp list this time. As the youngest member of the highly successful Vietnam U23 team of 2025, Le Phat is now a pillar of the new U23 generation, possessing the most extensive playing experience despite his young age.
