Harry Kane speaks candidly about Camavinga's red card.

After defeating Real Madrid, Kane commented on the situation where Camavinga was shown a red card at minute 86.

Bayern Munich's 4-3 victory over Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League quarter-final second leg was not only thrilling due to the scoreline but also due to the heated controversy at the end of the match. Among these, Harry Kane's statement regarding Eduardo Camavinga's red card quickly became the focal point of attention.

The match in Germany unfolded with a breath-taking script as both teams continuously chased the score. Bayern effectively utilized their home advantage to secure a 6-4 aggregate victory after two legs, thereby earning a spot in the semi-finals. However, the real turning point came in the 86th minute with Camavinga's second yellow card – a situation Kane later affirmed was entirely justified.

Specifically, Camavinga fouled Kane, and after the ball had stopped, he did not return it to the opponent. The referee immediately issued a second yellow card, meaning the French midfielder was sent off. “I believe that was definitely a red card. Considering both legs, I think we deserved to win,” Kane emphasized after the match.

Not stopping there, the English striker further stirred debate by mentioning another incident:“I also think Real Madrid's goal should not have been allowed, because earlier in the match, Antonio Rudiger fouled Konrad Laimer, but the referee did not call it.” This viewpoint added even more intensity to the match.

After losing a player, Real Madrid quickly collapsed. In just the final few minutes, goals from Luis Díaz and Michael Olise helped Bayern seal the match. This is also the first time since 2012 that a Bundesliga representative has overcome the Spanish Royal club in a Champions League knockout tie.

Kane could not hide his emotions after the dramatic showdown:“It was a special night. It was crazy with the constant ups and downs, especially in the first half. This is the kind of match rarely seen in a quarter-final.” This victory also extended Bayern's unbeaten streak to 16 matches across all competitions.

Looking ahead to the semi-finals, Bayern will face Paris Saint-Germain. Kane is cautious: “They are one of the strongest teams in Europe right now. We understand their strength and will have to prepare very well.” However, the biggest lingering impact after the match remains his decisive statement about the red card – a detail that may have determined the entire outcome.
