Do Hoang Hen exploded with a double, helping the home team reverse the tide to victory

Do Hoang Hen played a major role in Hanoi FC, under coach Harry Kewell, securing a 4-2 victory over Becamex TP.HCM.

The Round 19 V-League match between Hanoi FC and Becamex TP.HCM at Hang Day Stadium was exciting from the very first seconds. In the 1st minute, the visiting team unexpectedly took the lead when Nguyen Tran Viet Cuong dribbled solo, bypassed two opposing players, and finished with a classy shot, opening the score 1-0.

Just over 10 minutes later, Hai Long penetrated the penalty area and delivered a precise one-touch finish following a cross from Hoang Hen, helping Hanoi FC reverse the lead to 2-1.

The pressure continued to be maintained by Hanoi FC. David Fisher shot close-range after a poor clearance inside the penalty area by an opposing player, thereby raising the score to 3-1 for Hanoi FC. Notably, this goal was confirmed after minutes of VAR review.

In the second half, Becamex TP.HCM pushed their formation forward seeking a comeback goal. In the 60th minute, Viet Cuong completed his double with a burst into the penalty area and a finish, narrowing the score to 2-3 and reigniting hope for the visiting team.

However afterwards, Hanoi FC increased the gap in the 68th minute when Hoang Hen struck a tricky low shot into the near corner, raising the score to 4-2 for Hanoi FC.

The match became tense towards the end with several notable VAR decisions. In the 84th minute, Tuan Hai shot and scored against Becamex TP.HCM, but the goal was not recognized due to an offside violation after VAR review.

In the 86th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Becamex TP.HCM after determining Thanh Chung fouled Thanh Long inside the penalty area. However, after consulting VAR, the referee canceled the penalty decision but still issued a red card, disqualifying Thanh Chung for the offense of denying a clear scoring opportunity.

The match concluded with a 4-2 score favoring Hanoi FC. This victory places Hanoi FC 4th in the V-League standings this season with 33 points after 19 matches. Meanwhile, Becamex TP.HCM ranks 10th with 19 points.
