The Round 19 V-League match between Hanoi FC and Becamex TP.HCM at Hang Day Stadium was exciting from the very first seconds. In the 1st minute, the visiting team unexpectedly took the lead when Nguyen Tran Viet Cuong dribbled solo, bypassed two opposing players, and finished with a classy shot, opening the score 1-0.
Having conceded an early goal, Hanoi FC quickly pushed their formation forward. The match became tense towards the end with several notable VAR decisions. In the 84th minute, Tuan Hai shot and scored against Becamex TP.HCM, but the goal was not recognized due to an offside violation after VAR review.
In the 86th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to Becamex TP.HCM after determining Thanh Chung fouled Thanh Long inside the penalty area. However, after consulting VAR, the referee canceled the penalty decision but still issued a red card, disqualifying Thanh Chung for the offense of denying a clear scoring opportunity.
