Thanh Hóa coach comments on foreign player about to naturalize unexpectedly leaving the team

The story surrounding foreign striker Rimario Gordon has become the focus at Dong A Thanh Hóa, as the issues between this player and the club's leadership remain unresolved. After the draw against Song Lam Nghe An, Coach Mai Xuân Hợp shared notable remarks, clearly stating his perspective and expectations regarding his student.

According to revelations from the Thanh region's tactician, Rimario is currently not training with the team due to matters not yet agreed upon with the leadership. This makes the future of the Jamaican striker at Thanh Hóa unpredictable, especially during a period when the team needs stability in its squad.

Specifically addressing the situation, Coach Mai Xuân Hợp said: “As I understand the information, the two sides did not reach the desired agreement, so Rimario asked me for permission to temporarily stop training. I have not yet received official information from the leadership that he has left the team. At this moment, Rima is still part of Dong A Thanh Hóa's roster. I hope Rimario will calm down and all the issues between Rima and the leadership will soon be resolved.”

Nevertheless, in approaching the issue, the strategist of Thanh Hóa maintained a viewpoint emphasizing collective importance. He affirmed that the team will always have replacement plans in case of an individual's absence, even if it is a key striker like Rimario: “I believe that in a team, the role of the entire collective is paramount, while individuals serve to support and improve the collective. Of course, in football, if we lack a position, we will certainly have to find a suitable replacement for the team to fill that gap. So I think this matter is not too worrisome.”
