The four teams advancing to the ASEAN U17 2026 semifinals have been finalized: Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, and Australia.
On the evening of April 19th, the final matches of the group stage ASEAN U17 2026 concluded, confirming all four semifinal qualifiers: U17 Vietnam, U17 Malaysia (Group A), U17 Laos (Group B), and U17 Australia (Group C).
In Group A, U17 Vietnam advanced alongside the group leader with 7 points. Coach Cristiano Roland's squad began with a 4-0 victory over Malaysia, defeated Timor-Leste 10-0, and drew with Indonesia in their final match.
Meanwhile, U17 Malaysia narrowly secured their spot in the final four as the best-performing runner-up. The host team, U17 Indonesia, disappointed by being eliminated in the group stage.
In Group B, U17 Laos created a shockwave by advancing as the group leader. Most notably in the final round, the team from the Land of a Million Elephants excellently defeated U17 Thailand with a score of 3-2. This result also led to Thailand—a championship contender—being eliminated early.
