Coach Polking: 'Dinh Bac is definitely a precious gem, but...'

Coach Mano Polking shared noteworthy comments during the press conference after CAHN secured a 4-2 victory over SLNA, thereby maintaining their position in the championship race.

At the start of the press conference, the Brazilian strategist praised his players' performance and competitive spirit: “I am always satisfied with the players' competitive spirit. They have done their job very well. However, in a corner situation, we need to be more responsible. That mistake occurred at the end of the first half,” he shared.

Although they controlled the match for most of the time, CAHN still allowed the opponent to score twice. According to Coach Polking, the issue lies in losing focus at critical moments. “We must never lose focus. When we are completely controlling the match and concede two goals, it should not happen. However, this is not the time to criticize anyone. The whole team is working very well and moving in the right direction,” he added.

On the other hand, the police department team's offense had an explosive performance, especially the outstanding display by Nguyen Dinh Bac with an impressive hat-trick. Coach Polking could not hide his satisfaction when talking about his student: “You all saw Dinh Bac's performance today. He is definitely a precious gem. But this gem needs time to be polished,” he remarked.

Nevertheless, the 1976-born coach still holds higher expectations for this young striker. “I have said this many months ago: Dinh Bac can become much better. I am very happy to have him in the lineup, but he needs to repeat performances like today many more times,” Coach Polking emphasized.

Regarding Van Sy Son's assessment that CAHN is creating a gap compared to the rest of V-League, Coach Polking remained modest. He believes the team still has much work to do, especially since they faced considerable difficulties towards the end of the match. “We will only truly be satisfied when we achieve our goal. Currently, everything is not yet finished, but the team is getting very close to the championship,” he affirmed.

The 4-2 victory over SLNA not only brought 3 crucial points but also boosted CAHN's confidence on their journey to conquer the title this season.
