Following the loss to CAHN in V-League round 20, Coach Van Sy Son made noteworthy comments, particularly regarding his former pupil Nguyen Dinh Bac, who delivered an outstanding performance during the game.
Speaking after the match, Coach Van Sy Son praised the growth of the 2004-born striker: “In professional football, facing players you have previously worked with is normal. Today, Dinh Bac played very well. Additionally, he is supported by many quality satellites in a highly professional environment like CAHN. In this match, Dinh Bac truly affirmed his inherent qualities. I congratulate him.”
When asked about the potential development of his former student, the visiting team's captain continued to express his confidence: “I believe he will maintain his focus, continue to improve himself, and develop in the right direction.”
Besides praising his former student, Coach Van Sy Son also candidly acknowledged the superiority of the opponent: “CAHN is a strong team, distinct from the rest of V-League. Their victory is deserved.”
Nevertheless, this tactician could not hide his regret when his team created opportunities at certain moments but failed to capitalize: “Our young players played with good spirit, created chances but could not score. If we had scored an equalizer, the match situation could have been different. The biggest limitation remains experience.”
