The report indicates that the club's leadership prefers a former player for the hot seat, and both Fabregas and Filipe Luis have impressed in their coaching roles. Fabregas is currently leading Como and helping the team compete for a Champions League spot for the first time in its history, despite only entering his second season as a manager. Meanwhile, Filipe Luis recently experienced a successful period with Flamengo, winning seven trophies, before unexpectedly being dismissed in early March.

Previously, the London club's leadership had contingency plans in case performance did not improve.
