Thai media astonished by Vietnam's swift construction of a 60,000-seat stadium, with the project showing significant visible advancement at an extremely rapid pace within just 5 months.
Thai media has recently expressed special attention to the construction progress of Vietnam's new stadium. Specifically, the site Mr.ลูกหนัง AEC published an article showing surprise at the implementation speed of the PVF Stadium project just 5 months after its announcement.
According to the shared content, the stadium project named PVF Stadium has made significant strides in a short time. Just 5 months after the groundbreaking ceremony in December 2025, the project completed the site clearance phase and simultaneously began foundation construction and formed the structural frame for the stands on all four sides.
This site emphasized: “Within just 5 months, the construction progress of Vietnam's new stadium has shown clear development”. This is seen as proof of Vietnamese football's capability to organize and implement large-scale projects in the current period.
PVF Stadium is envisioned to become one of the most modern stadiums in Southeast Asia. The project is expected to have a capacity of up to 60,000 seats, integrating automatic opening/closing roof technology similar to Singapore's National Stadium. This is a major step forward in infrastructure, helping Vietnam move closer to hosting prestigious international tournaments.
Additionally, the stadium is being built according to FIFA standards, ensuring it meets conditions for hosting major matches in the future. According to the plan, the project will be completed in March 2027 and is highly likely to become the new home stadium for the Vietnam national team, replacing the current My Dinh Stadium which is about 1.5 times smaller in scale.
The Thai media article shows the region's growing interest in the strong development of Vietnamese football, not only at the national team level but also in the foundational infrastructure crucial for its ambition to reach continental stature.
